From March 31 to April 2, 2021, the 2020 Annual Meeting and Standard Project Discussion Meeting of the Internal Combustion Engine Emission After treatment Catalyst Working Group (SAC/TC177/WG15) of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Chengdu.

        The conference specially invited Mr. Ji Weibin, Secretary General of the International Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee (ISO/TC70), Secretary General of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC177), Deputy Secretary General of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (CICEIA), and Mr. Yang Yanxiang, General Manager of Wuxi Henghe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to attend. A total of 24 members and representatives from 16 member units of the working group, including Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., Wuxi Weifulida Catalytic Purifier Co., Ltd., Shandong Aofu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yixing Non Metallic Chemical Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., Anhui Zhongding Meida Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute, and Sichuan University, attended the meeting.

        At the meeting, the Secretary General of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC177) affirmed and encouraged the work of the working group, hoping that the working group could complete the development of industry standards with quality and quantity, and actively participate in the development of group standards. The secretary of the working group, Li Yun, the general manager of Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., gave a report on the "2020 Work Summary of the Internal Combustion Engine Emission Aftertreatment Catalyst Working Group of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee" at the meeting. Feng Xi and Wei Kuan, R&D engineers from Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., and Wu Guang from Anhui Zhongding Meida Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. respectively reported and solicited opinions and suggestions on four industry standards, including "Diesel Engine Coated Molecular Sieve SCR Catalyst". After careful review, all members have put forward numerous meaningful opinions and suggestions. Finally, Professor Chen Yaoqiang from Sichuan University gave a report on "Future Automotive Energy Forecasting and Development Opportunities for Traditional Energy Vehicles", sharing research results on in use vehicle pollution control and challenges in catalyst research for traditional energy vehicles.
