From March 16th to March 18th, 2023, the 2022 Annual Meeting and Standard Project Discussion Meeting of the Internal Combustion Engine Emission After treatment Catalyst Working Group (SAC/TC177/WG15) of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Chengdu.

The conference specially invites the Secretary of the International Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee (ISO/TC70) and the Secretary General of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC177), Ji Weibin, to attend. Chen Qizhang, Chairman of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Zhao Yunkun, Technical Director of Kunming Guiyan Catalyst Co., Ltd., and Li Yun, General Manager of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., as well as members and representatives from 16 member units of the working group, including Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Weichai Power Co., Ltd., Wuxi Weifulida Catalytic Purifier Co., Ltd., Shandong Aofu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yixing Non Metallic Chemical Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., Anhui Zhongding Meida Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., and Sichuan University, attended the meeting.

Firstly, the leader of the working group, Chen Qizhang, delivered a welcome speech. He stated that the working group will conscientiously implement and practice the National Quality Development Outline during the 14th Five Year Plan period, establish and improve the coordination mechanism of technology, patents, and standards, and vigorously promote the patentization of technology, standardization of patents, and industrialization of standards. Secretary General Ji Weibin stated that the current national emphasis on standardization work is increasing, and the requirements for standardization work are also becoming higher and higher. For standardization work, we should not only focus on the traditional internal combustion engine direction, but also pay attention to new energy and hot topics (energy conservation, carbon reduction, alternative fuels). Assistant Secretary of the Working Group, Yang Yi from Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., gave a report on the "2022 Work Summary of the Internal Combustion Engine Emission Aftertreatment Catalyst Working Group of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee" at the meeting. Liu Zhimin and Cheng Yongxiang, R&D engineers from Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., respectively reported on the revision of the group standard for "Coated SCR Catalysts for Hydrogen Fuel Internal Combustion Engines" and the industry standard for "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Catalytic Converters for Natural Gas (CNG/LNG) Engines (JB/T1305-2017)", and solicited opinions and suggestions. After careful review, all members have put forward numerous meaningful opinions and suggestions. Finally, Li Yun, General Manager of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., expressed gratitude to Secretary General Ji Weibin and the attending representatives, hoping that everyone can work together to promote the smooth implementation of standardization work.
