        On December 30, 2021, the "13th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Program "Research on Pollution Emission Control Technologies and Systems for Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Motorcycles" project led by Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. passed the comprehensive performance evaluation with a score of 92.4 and was successfully completed.

       The project has been launched since July 2016, with Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. as the leading unit, and Chen Qizhang, the chairman of the board, as the project leader, and 14 advantageous units, including Sichuan University, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Weichai Power Co., Ltd., China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, Jiangmen Dachangjiang Group Co., Ltd., Wuhan University of Technology, Tianjin University, Jilin University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, participated in the project. In November 2018, the project successfully passed the mid-term inspection. In November 2020, the project topic passed the comprehensive performance evaluation. On September 8, 2021, the project implementation period expired. The China 21st Century Agenda Management Center organized experts to conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation of the project. The expert group listened to the project team's report, reviewed relevant materials, conducted inquiries and discussions, and unanimously passed the project performance evaluation. After 5 years of hard work and research, all topics of the project have successfully completed their task objectives.

       This project focuses on 8 sub topics, including "Research on Key High Performance Rare Earth Catalytic Materials", "Research on Alternative Fuel Vehicle Pollution Emission Control Catalyst Technology that Meets National VI Standards", and "Research on Motorcycle Pollution Emission Control Catalyst Technology that Meets National IV Standards". The project has developed catalysts and critical catalyst preparation technologies that meet the pollution emission control requirements of China VI natural gas vehicles and China IV motorcycles. Key processes, equipment, and production lines for the industrialization of catalytic materials and catalysts have been developed. The development and application of catalytic systems for the purification and post-treatment of natural gas vehicles and motorcycles have been completed, and demonstration operations have been carried out. The project has completed all assessment indicators and achieved the expected goals, providing strong support for the breakthrough of pollution control technology in this special project.

       At the same time, the project adopts the method of interface effect inhibitor phase separation, breaking through the bottleneck of material high-temperature stability, and developing high-temperature resistant high specific surface area alumina and rare earth oxygen storage materials; Breaking through the bottleneck of difficult dispersion and high stability of precious metals at high temperatures, the cost of precious metals has been reduced by 20% compared to equivalent products from foreign companies, achieving independent and controllable core catalytic technology; We have developed key process equipment and production lines for catalytic materials and catalysts, achieving large-scale production. Developed TWC+ASC technology and products for heavy-duty natural gas vehicles, meeting the requirements of China VI emission standards for natural gas vehicles. The catalyst for China VI heavy-duty natural gas vehicles has achieved the highest market share in the domestic market; Motorcycle catalysts are used domestically and internationally to meet the National IV emission standards; The cumulative sales of catalysts have exceeded 3 billion yuan, with significant social and economic benefits.
