On January 7th, the Chengdu Ecology and Environment Bureau organized a city wide conference on environmental protection industry technology innovation. At the conference, the list of projects included in the 2020 environmental protection technology achievement database, as well as the list of the top 20 environmental engineering and equipment manufacturing enterprises and the top 10 environmental service enterprises in Chengdu in 2020, were announced. Peng Yong, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and Zhang Jun, Director of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, presented plaques to representatives of the top 30 enterprises.

    As of the end of 2020, there were a total of 1052 environmental protection enterprises in Chengdu, covering four major fields: environmental services, environmental engineering construction, environmental protection products, and comprehensive resource utilization. Chengdu has established a number of environmental protection industry clusters, and the environmental service industry has formed a certain foundation. The momentum of technological innovation is good, and the overall industrial structure has been improved.
