From April 19th to 21st, 2026, the Resin Based Composite Material Technology Application Innovation Center and the Technical Exchange Conference of the Composite Material Structure Manufacturing Process and Equipment Professional Committee of the China Composite Materials Society, with the theme of "Aerospace Composite Material Intelligent Creation for the Future", will be held grandly in Chengdu, Sichuan. As one of the organizers, Sichuan Zhongzi Composite Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongzi Composite Materials") participated in the conference organization and comprehensively demonstrated the company's research and development achievements and manufacturing capabilities in the field of composite materials in technical exchanges, industry docking and other links.

Jian Xigao, an academician of the CAE Member, an expert in organic polymer materials, Li Haibo, deputy director of the Second Equipment Industry Division of the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Sichuan Province, Wang Feng, deputy secretary of the CPC Shuangliu District Committee of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Shuangliu Economic Development Zone of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Xu Fuquan, deputy chief engineer of Hafei Aviation Industry, Zhou Liangdao, a third level expert of COMAC, and executive deputy director of the Composite Materials Center, attended the conference. The conference also gathered nearly 300 representatives from domestic aerospace research institutes, universities, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.

Industry, academia, research and application discuss the future of composite materials together

At the opening ceremony on April 20th, Wang Feng, Deputy Secretary of the Shuangliu District Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Chengdu Shuangliu Economic Development Zone, delivered a speech: "Shuangliu District not only relies on the billion dollar aviation economy industry cluster and has broad market space, but also fully leverages the advantages of universities and innovation platforms to form a solid ability to transform scientific and technological achievements. Xu Fuquan, Secretary General of the Resin based Composite Materials Technology Application Innovation Center and Deputy Chief Engineer of Hafei Aerospace Industry, delivered a speech: "This conference closely focuses on the theme of 'Aerospace Composite Materials Intelligent Innovation Future', bringing together top talents in the industry, government industrial forces, university research achievements, and enterprise practical resources. The Innovation Center has always been committed to promoting composite material technology research, achievement transformation, and industrial synergy. In his speech, Zhou Liangdao, a Level 3 expert at COMAC and Executive Deputy Director of the Composite Materials Center, stated: "Currently, the application of composite materials in the aerospace industry is entering a golden period of development, with a solid market foundation and broad application prospects. COMAC has always attached great importance to and continuously promoted innovation in composite material technology, and has accumulated rich practical experience in related fields. Breakthroughs in composite material technology cannot be achieved without the collaborative efforts of industry, academia, research, and application. We look forward to deepening cooperation among all parties through professional platforms and jointly writing a new chapter in the development of composite material structures

Chen Qizhang, Chairman of Zhongzi Technology, delivered a speech: "Zhongzi Technology has been deeply rooted in the materials field for more than 20 years. In this process, it has not only won the national manufacturing industry single champion, but also formed a mature process, method and system for scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation. Currently, China's composite materials field still faces many 'bottleneck' problems. My team and I are determined to devote ourselves to the development and application of composite materials, and strive to solve the technical bottlenecks in key areas. On December 12, 2025, Zhongzi's composite material production base will be completed and put into operation, focusing on the research and development, manufacturing and application of high-performance fiber-reinforced resin based composite materials. We now have an annual production capacity of 3 million square meters of high-performance prepreg and 70 tons of aviation composite material components. We sincerely look forward to working with the industry present here. Collaborative cooperation among chain partners to explore new horizons

Su Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Shuangliu Economic Development Zone, took the stage to promote the industry, introducing the profound foundation of the aerospace industry and the favorable entrepreneurial environment in Shuangliu District. This fully reflects the high attention and strong support of Shuangliu District for the aerospace composite materials industry, and also demonstrates the vast space and infinite opportunities for enterprises to develop in Shuangliu.  

Academicians and experts exchange achievements on the same stage

At the technical exchange meeting, Jian Xigao, an academician of the CAE Member, an expert in organic polymer materials, Chen Ping, deputy chief engineer of composite materials and processes of the COMAC Composite Center, Lin Jiaping, a professor of East China University of Science and Technology, Zhang Liyan, a professor of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Beijing University of Aeronautics and AstronauticsLi Yibin and other specially invited guests gave technical presentations.

Among them, Wang Yun, General Manager of Zhongzi Composite Materials, gave a report on the development and technological achievements of Sichuan Zhongzi Composite Materials Co., Ltd., systematically introducing the company's technological achievements in the fields of materials and composite product manufacturing, and showcasing typical products, practical application cases, and the application achievements of automated equipment.

Industry exchange promotes collaborative development

On the afternoon of April 20th, experts from COMAC Composite Materials Center, Aerospace Materials and Technology Research Institute, AVIC Aerospace, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University and other units conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics such as composite material structure manufacturing technology and equipment, effectively enhancing industry exchanges and cooperation.

On site visit into Zhongzi Composite Materials

On the morning of April 21st, the conference organized over a hundred delegates to visit the production base of Zhongzi Composite located in Shuangliu District. They visited the laboratory, prepreg production workshop, and composite material production workshop to gain a detailed understanding of Zhongzi Composite's production capacity and strict quality control system in key processes such as hot press molding and automatic wire laying. The advanced and efficient digital and intelligent manufacturing equipment on site attracted representatives to stop and observe.

The successful hosting of this conference demonstrates the willingness and ability of Zhongzi Composite Materials to actively participate in industry exchanges and serve industry development, accumulating valuable experience for the company to further integrate into the national aerospace composite material industry chain and strengthen collaborative innovation with aerospace research institutes and universities.
