On the morning of January 10, 2023, the first meeting of the 13th Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened in Chengdu. Provincial Party Secretary Wang Xiaohui delivered a speech, and Governor Huang Qiang and others congratulated him. More than 800 members of the 13th Provincial Political Consultative Conference, including Chen Qizhang, Chairman of Zhongzi Technology, attended the meeting.

Tian Xiangli delivered a work report on behalf of the 12th Standing Committee of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference. The report points out that in the past five years, General Secretary Xi Jinping's important ideas on strengthening and improving the work of the People's Political Consultative Conference have pointed out the direction of progress and provided fundamental guidance for doing a good job in the work of the People's Political Consultative Conference in the new era. The 12th Provincial Political Consultative Conference and its Standing Committee firmly support the "two consolidations", resolutely uphold the "two safeguards", always adhere to the central overall situation in political discussions and suggestions, promote the construction of the Chengdu Chongqing dual city economic circle, promote high-quality economic development and the construction of a beautiful Sichuan, actively contribute to the development of the cause of governing and revitalizing Sichuan, and promote high-quality development through high-quality performance of duties. In the next five years, we will solidly carry out ideological guidance, gather strength, discuss and provide suggestions for politics, and serve the overall situation, in order to promote the new era of governing Sichuan and revitalizing Sichuan to a new level, and strive to write a new chapter of Sichuan's development on a new journey through unity and struggle.

Wang Xiaohui delivered a speech at the meeting, expressing warm congratulations on the convening of the conference on behalf of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and sending sincere greetings to all members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and attending comrades. He reviewed the new significant progress made in various undertakings of governing Sichuan and revitalizing Sichuan in the past five years, especially in 2022, in overcoming difficulties. We hope that all levels of political consultative conferences in the province will fully implement the major policies of the Party Central Committee and the decision-making arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee, adhere to the organic combination of Party leadership, united front, and consultative democracy, promote democracy and enhance unity and mutual connection, provide suggestions and support for politics, and build consensus in both directions. We will focus on improving the level of deep consultation and interaction, full expression of opinions, and broad consensus building, and better gather wisdom and strength to promote the modernization construction of Sichuan.

On January 11th, the first session of the 14th People's Congress of Sichuan Province opened in Chengdu, and Chen Qizhang and other members of the 13th Provincial Political Consultative Conference attended the meeting as observers. Huang Qiang delivered a work report on behalf of the Provincial People's Government, which pointed out that the current government fully, accurately, and comprehensively implements the new development concept, actively serves and integrates into the new development pattern, adheres to high-quality development, coordinates epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development, coordinates development and security, and achieves a successful conclusion of the 13th Five Year Plan and a good start to the 14th Five Year Plan. Sichuan has made significant achievements in the development of the new era. In the next five years, we will implement the important deployment of "general traction", "general grasp" and "general thinking" of the provincial party committee to comprehensively build a socialist modern Sichuan, take a road of modernization that grasps the trend of the times, conforms to the law of development, reflects the characteristics of Sichuan, and serves the overall situation of the country, and strive to write the chapter of Chinese path to modernization in Sichuan.

Member Chen Qizhang expressed full agreement and support for Secretary Wang Xiaohui's speech, Governor Huang Qiang's work report, and Chairman Tian Xiangli's work report. They hold a high position, have rich connotations, and are deeply encouraged. In the new era and new journey, we will thoroughly implement a series of new requirements and expectations, keep in mind our original mission, and keep in mind the "two healths". Support the joint construction of a nationally influential science and technology innovation center in the Chengdu Chongqing economic circle, do a good job in technological innovation in the new era, achieve breakthroughs from 0 to 1, transform scientific and technological achievements, achieve growth from 1 to N, and continuously inject momentum into high-quality economic and social development.
