The National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee Internal Combustion Engine Emission After treatment Catalyst Working Group (SAC/TC177/WG15) (hereinafter referred to as the Working Group) was established in 2014. The Working Group has 16 member units and 18 members, and the leader unit of the Working Group is Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. Chen Qizhang, Chairman of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., serves as the team leader, Zhao Yunkun, Technical Director of Kunming Guiyan Catalyst Co., Ltd., serves as the deputy team leader, and Li Yun, General Manager of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., serves as the secretary.
Since its establishment, the working group has strictly followed the requirements of the "Management Regulations of the National Professional Standardization Technical Committee", the "Charter of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee", and the "Notice on the Establishment and Management of the Standard Setting Working Group", focusing on the establishment and improvement of the standard system in the field of internal combustion engine emission after treatment catalysts, combined with industry technological development and market standardization needs, and completed the "Working Group 13th Five Year Plan" standard planning, and organized the application and formulation of a series of standards in the "13th Five Year Plan" standard planning. Over the past five years, the working group has organized the development of 13 industry standards. The main ones are:
Two industry standards have been developed and implemented: "JBT 13055-2017 Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Catalytic converters for Natural Gas (CNGLNG) engines" and "JBT 13056-2017 Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Catalytic converters for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) engines"; Three industry standards have been developed and officially approved: "Classification and Naming Specification for Exhaust Treatment Catalysts of Internal Combustion Engines", "Chemical Composition Analysis Method for Vanadium based SCR Catalysts Coated on Diesel Engines", and "Chemical Composition Analysis Method for SCR Catalysts Coated on Molecular Sieves for Diesel Engines"; Eight industry standards have been officially approved and are currently being formulated: "Diesel Engine Ammonia Oxidation Catalyst", "Diesel Engine Coated Molecular Sieve SCR Catalyst", "Diesel Engine Catalytic Particle Catcher Catalyst", "Gasoline Engine Particle Catcher Catalyst", "Gasoline Engine Particle Catcher Honeycomb Ceramic Carrier", "Honeycomb Carrier for Heavy duty Natural Gas Engine Aftertreatment Catalysts", "Technical Requirements for Recycling and Reuse of Ineffective Catalysts in Internal Combustion Engine Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems", and "Diesel Engine Selective Catalytic Reduction Catcher".
At this point, the working group has preliminarily established a standard system for internal combustion engine emission post-treatment catalysts, with a focus on catalyst product technical standards, supported by catalyst key material carrier standards, and based on universal standards. Among them: 7 product technical standards, 2 product analysis standards, 2 carrier standards, and 2 basic standards. It basically covers the relevant post-treatment catalyst technologies that meet the current emission standards for internal combustion engines, providing standard support for the development of industry technology.
Under the guidance of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee, the working group actively organizes and participates in industry standardization activities. In 2017, the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee and the Small and Medium Power Internal Combustion Engine Sub Technical Committee held their first standardization work conference and joint conference on standard review, standardization training, project review, and standard promotion in Chengdu. In the past five years, I have participated in 15 industry standard review meetings of the Internal Standards Committee, 2 specialized standard training meetings, 2 industry standard Beijing project defense meetings, and 5 annual work meetings of the Internal Standards Committee's working groups and sub committees.
With the strong support and efforts of all members, the working group won the title of 2013-2018 Advanced Working Group of the National Technical Committee for Internal Combustion Engine Standardization in 2018, and its secretary Li Yun was also named 2013-2018 exemplary individual of the National Technical Committee for Internal Combustion Engine Standardization.
At this meeting, 16 member units of the Second Internal Combustion Engine Emission After treatment Catalyst Working Group were established. Among them, Wuxi Weifu Lida Catalytic Purifier Co., Ltd., Shandong Aofu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd., and Kunming Yunnei Power Co., Ltd. are six newly added members. The leader of the working group is Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. There are 18 members of the working group and 1 consultant.
