June 5th, 2019 is the 48th World Environment Day, and the Chinese theme for this year's World Environment Day is "Beautiful China, I am an Actor".

         On the morning of June 5th, the Department of Ecology and Environment, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Urban Environment and Resources Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, together with relevant departments at the provincial level, jointly held a theme promotion event for Sichuan Province's June 5th Environment Day and the second Sichuan Province "Beautiful China, I am an Actor" series of selection activities in Chengdu. The event was held on Sichuan Provincial Television.

          Before the event, Hou Xiaochun, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, Yang Hongbo, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Chen Fang, Vice Chairman of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Yu Huiwen, Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and other leaders discussed environmental pollution issues related to exhaust gas pollution, PM2.5 particulate matter, and ozone in the exhibition hall, and learned about the solutions of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to exhaust emissions pollution from diesel engines, automobiles, and other sources.

          Yu Huiwen, Director of the Environmental Protection Department of Sichuan Province, stated that taking advantage of World Environment Day to select a group of leaders who practice green concepts and tell their stories is conducive to calling on everyone in society to become environmental protection practitioners and contributors.

         The event began at the S1 studio of Sichuan Television Station. In order to promote the active participation of people from all walks of life in the construction of ecological civilization and ecological environment protection in Sichuan Province, and to create a good social atmosphere of "everyone cares about environmental protection and participates in the construction of ecological civilization", on World Environment Day, the results of the second "Top Ten Green Pioneers" and "Top Ten Most Beautiful Grassroots Environmental Protection Personnel" selection in our province were announced at the event site.

          At the event, Mr. Chen Qizhang, Chairman of Zhongzi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., as one of the six invited corporate figures in Sichuan, issued an initiative to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's ecological civilization ideology, unify ideological understanding, strengthen responsibility, and vigorously promote the high-quality development of Sichuan's economy and high-level protection of the ecological environment.
